What a Walmart reselling app needs to do, and how the options compare.
Updated November 1, 2026 · By the Margenos team
What's the best Walmart reseller app? The best Walmart reseller app is one that lets you scan a barcode in a store, or open a Walmart.com listing, and see in seconds whether the item will make money on Walmart Marketplace: the fees, your profit, how fast it sells, who else sells it and who wins the Buy Box. Few apps do that for Walmart. Most reselling apps are built for Amazon, and Walmart's own Seller app is for running a store you already have, not for sourcing.
Margenos makes this page, so weigh that — we've tried to be fair and link every competitor. Margenos is a Walmart reseller tool (Chrome extension and Android app) that shows whether a product is worth selling on Walmart Marketplace: fees, profit, ROI, sales estimates, every competing seller with stock, the Buy Box winner and the product's price and Buy Box history. Below: what a Walmart reselling app needs, the options compared, and which one fits how you source.
A Walmart arbitrage app has one job: stop you from buying stock that won't sell at a profit. To do that it needs:
| App | Made for | Barcode scanning | Walmart fees and profit | Sellers and Buy Box | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Margenos | Sourcing for Walmart Marketplace | Yes, Android app; iPhone not yet. Plus a Chrome extension | Yes: referral and WFS fees, profit, ROI, max buy cost | Every seller with stock; Buy Box winner and history | From $24.99/month, 14-day free trial |
| WAMP (SellerAmp) | Sourcing for Walmart Marketplace | Not listed on wamp.com (Chrome extension) | Profit calculator with selling costs | Competitor view and charts | Beta $0/month; Pro "coming soon" |
| Walmart Seller app | Running an existing Walmart store | Yes, to find catalog items and check if they're restricted | Not listed for sourcing | Not listed | Free for enrolled US Marketplace sellers |
| Scan Profit | Sourcing for Amazon | Yes | No (Amazon fees) | Amazon data | Free to use, optional subscriptions |
| SellerAmp SAS | Sourcing for Amazon | Yes | No (Amazon fees) | Amazon offers | From $19.95/month, 14-day free trial |
Competitor details come from each company's site or app store listing, November 2026. Features and prices change; check their sites. Trademarks belong to their owners. Margenos is not affiliated with any of them or with Walmart.
Margenos is built only for Walmart. Scan a barcode in the store with the Android scanner app, or open any Walmart.com product with the Chrome extension, and you see Walmart fees, profit, ROI, max buy cost and breakeven, a sales estimate labeled with its source (or "not enough data"), every competing seller with stock counts, total stock, WFS vs seller-fulfilled per offer, the Buy Box winner, and price and Buy Box history from Margenos's own daily snapshots. Push alerts watch tracked items for price moves, stock-outs, and sellers or Walmart joining or leaving. You don't need a Walmart seller account to use it. Where it's weaker: no iPhone app yet, Walmart only, and it doesn't manage your orders or listings. Plans are on the pricing page.
WAMP is SellerAmp's separate Walmart tool. Its site lists a $0 Beta plan ("Free for life!") with a profit calculator, charts and basic sales trends, and a Pro plan marked "coming soon". It also mentions Google Sheets integration. It's a sensible no-cost start for online sourcing if you're already a Walmart seller; its site tells non-sellers to become a Walmart seller first. Its site doesn't mention a phone app or barcode scanning, so check before relying on it in stores. More in does SellerAmp work for Walmart? and Margenos vs WAMP.
Walmart's own Seller app (iPhone and Android) is free for enrolled US Marketplace sellers and logs in with your Seller Center account. Per its App Store listing and Walmart's page, it handles orders, customer messages, notifications, a sales tracker, support cases and WFS shipments and inventory. Recent versions added barcode scanning to find catalog products, and scans show whether an item is restricted, which is handy for a quick eligibility check. What it doesn't list is sourcing research: no profit math on your buy cost, competing sellers' stock or sales estimates. Most resellers use it alongside a sourcing app. See our Walmart Seller app guide.
Scan Profit's App Store listing describes an app for building an Amazon business and calculating Amazon fees; it's free to use with optional paid plans. SellerAmp SAS is an Amazon sourcing tool with a phone scanner, Chrome extension and web app. Both are good at what they're built for. If you sell on Amazon, or buy at Walmart to resell on Amazon, use one of them. For selling on Walmart Marketplace they give you the wrong fees, the wrong competition and an Amazon sales rank that tells you nothing about Walmart demand. An app that gets your known winners and losers right is one you can trust on items you don't know. That's the honest way to pick a Walmart sourcing app, whichever one you end up with. For the full checklist, see how to know if a product will sell on Walmart.
