Some of Walmart's strictest safety rules: what's banned, what needs paperwork and what resellers can sell.

To sell baby products on Walmart, you need a Walmart Marketplace seller account, new items in original retail packaging, and products that pass Walmart's baby and children's safety rules. Infant formula and baby food are prohibited, as are several sleep and car seat products. The referral fee is 8% for items $10 or less and 15% above $10. Margenos is a Walmart reseller tool (Chrome extension and Android app) that shows whether a product is worth selling on Walmart Marketplace: fees, profit, ROI, sales estimates, every competing seller with stock, the Buy Box winner and the product's price and Buy Box history.
Walmart's schedule lists Baby Products at 8% when the total sales price is $10 or less, and 15% when it's over $10. The rate applies to the whole price, including shipping.
Hypothetical examples: a $9.49 pack of pacifier clips with free shipping pays 8% = $0.76. A $24.99 baby carrier pays 15% = $3.75. A $7.99 item with $3.00 shipping totals $10.99 and pays 15% = $1.65. See Walmart seller fees.
Walmart's baby products policy is detailed:
Most baby items are also children's products, so Walmart's children's products policy applies: each needs a valid Children's Product Certificate and a third-party lab test report, which Walmart can ask you to upload. See Walmart restricted brands for brand rules.
Baby is driven by life events more than seasons: new parents buy feeding gear, bath items, monitors, carriers, bottles and nursery storage year-round, and registries keep popular items moving. Diapers and wipes are huge sellers but low-margin and dominated by Walmart. Summer brings travel gear and sun hats; Q4 brings gifts and toys.
Retail and clearance: discontinued colors and patterns of strollers, carriers and bedding turn up; see Walmart clearance reselling. Online arbitrage: watch for open-box or damaged-box listings, which you can't resell as new; see online arbitrage on Walmart. Wholesale: the cleanest route for certificates and invoices; see Walmart wholesale.
Full process: how to know if a product will sell on Walmart.
Poly bags with an opening of 5 inches or more need a suffocation warning to go into WFS, which matters for many baby items. Dated items expiring within 60 days won't be received. Bulky gear raises WFS fees, so check Walmart WFS fees before sending it in.
